Alhamdulillah more than $75,660 worth of Humanitarian Aid has reached Gaza!

Bismillah al-Rahman al-Rahim.

In the spirit of compassion and solidarity, the International Open University (IOU) joined hands with Human Concern International (HCI) in October 2023 to extend a helping hand to the resilient people of Gaza.

Alhamdulillah, through the generosity of IOU's blessed community, we have successfully raised more than $44,000, making a significant impact on the lives of those affected by the recent crisis.

As the borders opened, we seized the opportunity to deliver critical Humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza, offering hope and support in their time of need. This aid included:

  • Medical assistance: Essential support for those injured from the crisis.
  • Food and Water Supplies: Vital supplies for families whose homes have been destroyed or who have been displaced due to the conflict.
  • Shelter: Temporary housing for those who have lost their homes and livelihoods in the chaos.
  • Orphan Sponsorship: Providing children with food, health care, education and more.

In Islam, charity is not just an act of kindness; it is a deeply ingrained principle that carries immense rewards.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "The believer's shade on the Day of Resurrection will be his charity."

Your contributions to the Gaza aid mission are not only a source of relief for those in need but also a means to earn immense spiritual rewards.

Every dollar donated is a step closer to a better life for someone in Gaza. Your generosity has the power to alleviate suffering, bring hope, and foster resilience in the face of adversity.

As the borders remain open, let us use this opportunity to continue to give generously to our brothers and sisters in Palestine. Allah knows how long this window will remain open so let us act fast while we still can.

May Allah accept our contributions and grant ease to the people of Gaza. Ameen
